I’m speaking at the Apple store THURSDAY APRIL 5 -

Tumblr-people… I will be at the Apple store on 14th street (NYC) tomorrow as part of Julian Alexander’s “Meet the Designer” series. Come thru! … And no they’re not giving a free iPad.  (sad face)

WHERE: Apple Store, 401 W 14th Street New York, NY 10014
WHEN: Thursday, April 5th, 2012, 7pm
HOW: FREE.

I recently contributed an original piece at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles; part of the group show “We Was Them Kids” which featured friends ‘n’ faves Parra, Geoff McFetridge, Kevin Lyons, and more.

A signed edition of 25 giclée prints are now available. They look badass… much thanks to Zeke at Mighty Printing!

Following up on my previous post.. These came in last week and finally got a chance to take photos. As part of Nike’s “Back For the Future” Air Mag auction frenzy to raise money and fight Parkinson’s disease this past September, I was among a handful of artists who created special art for the campaign. Just being involved was cool enough, but lo and behold, almost 3 months later a pretty insane “Thank You” arrived via FedEx in the form of hoverboards featuring the commissioned artwork by La Boca, Will Sweeney, Kate Gibb, and myself. Thank you Adam and Darla…

Got a shipment from Beaverton earlier today. 4 packages to be exact… Details soon…

Whoa. Heavy.

Whoa. Heavy.

Promotional poster, 27” x 40” (686x1020mm)
Created for Nike’s Back For The Future event at LA’s Montalban Theater to raise money for the Michael J Fox Foundation’s fight against Parkinson’s Disease.

Four different artists were approached to create an original “movie poster” in their style for the event. I chose to “remix” the DeLorean using my collage approach. And the logo is actually a typeface that I created years ago but never found a project to flex with it. I’m pretty overloaded these days, but this was too exciting of an opportunity… and for a worthy cause of course.

Now if only I could get my hands on those damn kicks…

I am a designer, also. Are you on twitter? I'm @electracity ::: I'd love to keep the BR movement going on strong. — Asked by Anonymous

CHALLENGE: Complex magazine’s first ever online-only cover featuring Eminem and Royce da 5’9 needed to make an impact. We wanted it to be inventive and more than just a static image. Something no one in the music/rap mag world has really tried yet.
SOLUTION: An animated GIF inspired by Spy vs Spy and the classic “Rabbit Season/Duck Season” Warner Bros. cartoon. Magic courtesy the lens of photog Matt Doyle. And tireless efforts of Assistant Designer Ryan Haigh, Assist Photo Editor Gina Batlle, and EIC Sir Noah Callahan-Bever for making it happen.
